As a Server, you'll be the face of our restaurant, ensuring guests enjoy a delightful dining experience with breathtaking waterfront views. This role is perfect for those who thrive in a fast-paced environment and love engaging with people, making every meal memorable. Whether you're a seasoned pro or new to the industry, if you have a passion for excellent service and a friendly attitude, we want you on our team! This role is seasonal, with potential for continued employment based on performance, availability, interest in year-round work, and business needs. Extension decisions are evaluated at the end of the season and consider off-season operational demands and existing staffing levels. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.
Requirements
- Customer service experience, especially in food service or retail (training provided for those without prior experience)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and excellent teamwork abilities
- Responsible and trustworthy
- Clear background check and drug screening.
- Full weekend availability
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a server or in a similar role
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Knowledge of food and beverage service best practices
- Enthusiasm for lakeside living and the boating lifestyle
Responsibilities
- Greet all guests warmly within 30 seconds of their arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist guests in selecting food and beverages by promoting daily specials and sharing your genuine recommendations and preferences.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them effectively to the kitchen.
- Efficiently assemble and deliver orders to the appropriate tables, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide prompt and attentive service, ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional, swift manner.
- Process payments and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless dining experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, chairs, and the dining area.
- Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation standards.
