More information is available on our website https://www.sswtechnologies.com/ [https://www.sswtechnologies.com/] The Onsite Set-Up Technician (2nd Shift: 2:30pm - 11:00pm) will set up, operate, or tend more than one type of cutting or forming machine tool or robot.

Requirements

  • Technical Degree in Technical electromechanical, mechanical technician or related.
  • 1 year of experience in the same position if not covering schools.
  • Detailed and hands-on oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Have model changes to be used in the manufacturing areas to produce parts, in the same way to provide maintenance of the machines in the company.
  • Verify that the first piece of the shift is processed correctly by the machine.
  • Check that the welding, parameters and dimensions are correct.
  • Inspect workpieces for defects, and measure them to determine accuracy of machine operation, using rules, templates, or other measuring instruments.
  • Start machines and turn handwheels or valves to engage feeding, cooling, and lubricating mechanisms.
  • Select, install, and adjust alignment of drills, cutters, dies, guides, and holding devices, using templates, measuring instruments, and hand tools.
  • Move controls or mount gears, cams, or templates in machines to set feed rates and cutting speeds, depths, and angles.
  • Set machine stops or guides to specified lengths as indicated by scales, rules, or templates.
  • Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunctions, adjusting machines as necessary.
  • Set up and operate machines, such as lathes, borers, millers, drills, or auxiliary machines, to make metallic and/or plastic workpieces.
  • Perform minor machine maintenance, such as oiling or cleaning machines, dies, or workpieces, or adding coolant to machine reservoirs.
  • Perform the maintenance of the company's machinery.
  • Maintain and comply with the procedures of your existing area.
