Haakon Industries, a global leader in custom-designed and manufactured HVAC units, is looking for motivated individuals to join our team as a Sheet Metal Operator in the Sheet Metal Department. This team is responsible for fabricating sheet metal components used in the construction of air handling units, utilizing CNC machinery and various metalworking tools. Responsibilities
- Machinery Operation: Safely operate CNC machines and metalworking tools (brakes and shears) to fabricate sheet metal components according to production specifications
- Blueprint Reading: Accurately read and interpret blueprints to guide the precise fabrication of sheet metal parts
- Measurement and Tool Use: Use measuring tools and perform calculations to ensure accurate cuts and bends
- Material Handling: Load and unload materials into machines, ensuring proper alignment and secure positioning for safe and efficient operation
- Independent Work: Perform tasks independently with minimal supervision to meet production goals
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively in a team environment with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
