About The Position

Join our team and be part of a dynamic workplace where your talent can thrive. Paslin has an opportunity for a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator at our Pontiac facility. We are looking for a highly organized and detail oriented person to join our Materials & Logistics team. Work hours are typically 6am-230pm, with daily and weekend overtime as required. This position is responsible for shipping and receiving of materials from the Paslin manufacturing facility in order to meet project and company objectives.

Requirements

1+ years of related shipping/receiving experience
Experience with an ERP System, Microsoft AX preferred
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Great attention to detail
Ability to safely drive a forklift
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to multi-task, while maintaining organization
Data entry skills
Ability to read, write and complete basic math

Nice To Haves

Experience with an ERP System, Microsoft AX preferred

Responsibilities

Ensure material is unpacked and examined upon incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages
Enter receiving data into ERP system (Dynamics AX 2012) for accurate inventory tracking
Operate overhead crane, pallet jack, and forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment, may operate company vehicle to deliver shipments
Route items to departments
Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
Prepare document for shipment including bill of lading, any export documentation, packing list, photos of shipments and any other documentation required
Determine proper methods for packing and labeling material for shipment
Unload and sorting of various fabrications and details, while matching to prints
Support the manufacturing strategy and continually drive efforts to streamline shipping and receiving activities
Adhere to company policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with safety procedures
All other duties as assigned
