About The Position

As a Shop Assistant, you’ll be the face of our Elcies Thrift store — greeting customers, keeping the shop looking its best, and helping every visitor have a great experience. Every sale you make helps fund Lutheran Care’s essential community services that support individuals and families doing it tough. The majority of work in this role will be on weekends, so weekend availability is essential.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working with Children Check
• National Police Clearance

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, helpful customer service in store
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and handle cash sales
• Keep the shop clean, tidy and attractively presented
• Assist with pricing, tagging, and displaying donated items
• Help sort and restock donations as needed
• Support and work alongside our amazing volunteers
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive and community-minded team culture
