Key Responsibilities Promote and support the company’s vision and culture across all shop operations. Provide direct supervision to Maintenance Foremen, Supervisors, Leads, and support staff to maintain a safe, efficient, and productive work environment. Oversee parts purchasing to ensure cost-effective sourcing, vendor compliance, and accurate inventory management, including barcoding and bin labeling in accordance with company policy. Ensure all parts purchases are made through approved national account vendors, limiting non-approved vendors to emergency situations only; manage monthly 90-day non-usage return processes. Review and approve all repair orders for accuracy, ensuring proper documentation of the 3Cs (Complaint, Cause, Correction), Standard Repair Times (SRTs), SOP compliance, and correct warranty coding. Coordinate ongoing technical and professional development training for technicians and supervisory staff, including vendor-led training opportunities. Conduct daily inspections of the shop and yard to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, federal, state, and company regulations, as well as internal audit standards. Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring efforts to build and maintain a high-performing maintenance team. Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management. Qualifications Experience Minimum of five (5) years of experience in heavy-duty truck or trailer repair and maintenance. At least two (2) years of supervisory or management experience, preferably within a maintenance or logistics environment. Skills Strong computer proficiency with the ability to learn company-specific systems (e.g., AS400, TMT). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational, leadership, and team management abilities. Preferred Knowledge/Experience Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations. Experience with parts inventory systems and tire management programs. Experience supporting recruiting and hiring processes. Due to the collaborative nature of the work environment, the spontaneous need for idea generation and execution, and the potential for expedited remediations, responses, or information gathering, in-person, in-office attendance is an essential function of this position.
