Shop/Warehouse Hand
About The Position
Ensure the shop and warehouse are clean, organized, and free from any safety hazards. Prepare documents, such as pick slips and shipping orders, to route materials. Pack, seal, label, and affix appropriate shipping labels to prepare packages for shipping. Examine shipping contents and compare packing slips for accuracy. Strip material to pallets and ensure product(s) arrive at customers’ locations safely. Receive and put away product in a timely manner. Maintain store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock. Daily and weekly cycle count process to ensure inventory accuracy. Troubleshoot problems. Provide input on process improvements.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Minimum 1-2 years previous experience in a warehouse or shop environment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Good listening skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Works with a sense of urgency to meet employee and customer deadlines.
- High level of accuracy.
- Problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous use of a Pallet Jack and Forklift a plus, but will train!
