About The Position

DSG is seeking a Showroom Sales Consultant in our Plymouth, MN location. In this full time, hourly position, work is typically performed between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday, but may vary on occasion according to business needs. As a Showroom Sales Consultant, you will will provide professional service and inspirational design solutions regarding the latest, most innovative, and quality kitchen and bath fixtures.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalency.
• Outstanding interpersonal, customer service and communication skills across a variety of settings (in-person, phone, and email).
• Product and technical knowledge normally acquired in two or more years of college or technical school OR 3-5 years field experience in the residential/commercial applications of kitchen and bath fixtures and products.
• An ability to develop and support our environment of teamwork.
• The ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively, even when under pressure and restricted by deadlines.
• Prior computer knowledge, experience and skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional customer service by actively listening and responding to customer questions and concerns on product availability, delivery, pricing, billing, product information, and return policies
• Resolve all customer complaints with empathy and excellent service
• Act as the primary customer contact for assigned customers, and fill in for unassigned customers as needed
• Guide customers through each step of the ordering process
• Monitor open- and back-order inquiries
• Generate customer quotations and follow up as necessary
• Assist customers with requests for product returns
• Identify opportunities for the promotion of additional products
• Grow personal knowledge on products and the recent improvements/changes in the industry by proactively attending/reviewing manufacturer schools, trade shows, tech schools, vendor meetings/training, trade journals, etc.
• Identify and suggest possible improvements to all aspects of the customer sales process
