About The Position

The Program Manager will provide strategic direction to cross-functional teams in the execution of program management activities supporting government and education agencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field / years of experience may be considered in lieu of formal degree.
  • Individual should have a minimum of five years of work experience with three years directly related to public sector contracting and/or Finance
  • Knowledge of government pricing and professional services proposals along with an understanding of government rules and regulations
  • Demonstrated multi-tasking ability, problem solving skills and a consistent record of on time delivery and customer service is mandatory
  • Proven ability to successfully guide individuals across multiple functional areas to fulfill complex, enterprise programs that support a broad user base.
  • Superior analytical skills and the ability to conceptualize complex scenarios.
  • Superior communication skills (both oral and written) inclusive of strong presentation skills.
  • Effective time management, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent project planning, scheduling and resource management skills
  • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite

Responsibilities

  • Provide competent program direction to all functional groups within the company to ensure a common understanding of program goals, requirements and discrete tasks that will lead to customer satisfaction
  • Provide governance support for projects and operational activities to include: Alignment of quote opportunities to organizational mission and strategy
  • Following standardized program, project, and operational procedures in line with client objectives and industry best practices
  • Adherence to documented policies and procedures
  • Support customer organizational reporting requirements during post-award tracking
  • Communicate program status, contract review progress, and post-award tracking through written and oral briefings to customer management, contract program managers, and IPS leadership; proactively identify and advise on risks, issues, and mitigation strategies
  • Provide oversight and guidance to teams in carrying out operational procedures while focusing on collaboration with customers and internal teams in support of agency mission
  • Oversee scheduling and invoicing to ensure programs are completed as directed by client and partner written documentation
  • Enforce work standards and review/resolve document discrepancies to ensure compliance with contract and internal requirements
