About The Position

The Tenement Museum is seeking a highly creative and organized Social Media and Content Production Specialist to own our brand's voice across all digital and physical touchpoints. This role requires a multi-talented creative who can produce engaging, trend-driven content for social media (TikTok/Reels), while simultaneously designing and managing print materials for marketing campaigns, events, brochures, posters, and onsite displays. The ideal candidate is a proactive storyteller with a strong design aesthetic and experience in both digital and print production, with the ability to balance day to day content needs with long-term brand development.

Requirements

  • 5+years of experience in content creation, social media management, or a similar multimedia role.
  • Proven experience in graphic design and print production.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro) or similar tools like Canva.Basic motion graphics experience (After Effects).
  • Strong understanding of print design fundamentals (typography, layout, color theory, file preparation).
  • Strong understanding of social media platform algorithms and trends.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.Experience with email marketing platforms.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Photography and videography experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and functions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement social media strategies to align with brand goals.
  • Create, schedule, and publish engaging content dailyon allmuseum social channels(copy, images, and videos).
  • Monitor, listen, and respond to comments, messages, and mentions to foster community engagement.
  • Leverage social media trends to gain traction and amplify following (Reels, TikTok, Shorts, Stories).
  • Analyze performance metrics (KPIs) and provide regular reporting to inform future strategy.
  • Capture high-quality photo and video content onsite and at events.
  • Edit photo and video content, ensuring it aligns with brand standards.
  • Own and maintain a clean, organized content library (file naming, folder structure, version control).
  • Design and produce marketing materials, including but not limited to flyers, brochures, posters, signage, menus, and business cards.
  • Create print-ready files using the museums' branding guidelines,ensuring correct color modes (CMYK), resolution, and bleeds.
  • Manage the printing process in a timely manner from concept to final product, including coordinating with vendors and maintaining print brand consistency.
  • Create downloadable, branded PDFs, toolkits, and educational resources.
  • Work with the Marketing and Communications team to develop cohesive, integrated, cross-channel campaigns (digital and print).
  • Ensure all assets (social and print) are on-brand andreflect the museum’s values, voice, and commitment to storytelling.
