Learn more: rarecancerprogram.com We are seeking a creative and driven Social Media Intern to help grow our online presence, engage the rare cancer community, and highlight the exciting research and outreach activities of the TRACER program. This is an ideal opportunity for students interested in sciences, communications, public health, digital media, or nonprofit outreach. This is a remote position that requires candidates to attend in person events.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree, or current enrollment in undergraduate program

Nice To Haves

• Passion for science, medicine, advocacy, or public communication
• Experience with social media platforms (especially Instagram and LinkedIn)
• Strong writing, editing, and visual content skills
• Familiarity with Canva, Adobe, or similar tools (bonus)
• Organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently

Responsibilities

• Conduct background research on various rare cancers, including incidences, molecular markers, survival, etc
• Create and schedule engaging posts across Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook
• Participate in TRACER events, symposiums, researcher profiles, and patient stories
• Develop graphics, short videos, and infographics for social media and web use
• Track social media analytics and report on engagement trends
• Collaborate with research and advocacy teams to align messaging
