Requirements

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in social media content creation, preferably in sports, athletics, or performance training environments.
  • Strong photography and videography skills.
  • Deep understanding of current social media trends and platform best practices.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro and CapCut to edit, resize, and crop images and video for use in social media.
  • Knowledge of social media management platforms like Sprout Social, Influencer, Opendorse, etc.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends for games and events.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with athletes, sports organizations, or youth sports brands.
  • On-camera comfort and storytelling ability.
  • Drone certification (FAA Part 107) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Capture and produce high-quality photo and video UGC-style content (practice sessions, competitions, academics, campus life, interviews, behind-the-scenes).
  • Edit and deliver short-form video content optimized for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other emerging platforms.
  • Develop creative concepts aligned with brand campaigns and seasonal priorities.
  • Create graphics, captions, and motion assets that reflect brand voice and visual standards.
  • Execute content calendars across core social platforms.
  • Identify and leverage trending topics, sounds, and sports moments in real time.
  • Collaborate with coaches, athletes, and internal departments to source compelling stories.
  • Monitor analytics and performance metrics to optimize engagement and growth.
  • Support partnerships and sponsored content deliverables.
  • Highlight athlete achievements, commitments, and milestones.
  • Engage with the IMG Academy online community in a timely and authentic manner.
  • Maintain consistent brand voice across all channels.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sports, admissions, academics, and campus teams to ensure accurate content and alignment with seasonal priorities and business goals.
