About The Position

Join Clario as a Software Development Manager and help shape the services and interfaces that power our next-generation clinical trial technologies. This leadership role directly influences the architecture, scalability, and reliability of Clario’s R&D software solutions, with a strong focus on cloud-native engineering, high-volume APIs, and data processing capabilities supporting cardiac and respiratory products. You’ll lead an engineering team responsible for building and evolving shared services, reusable capabilities, and integration patterns used across more than 20 agile development squads—enabling consistency, accelerating delivery, and reducing duplicated effort. What We Offer Competitive compensation Health, dental, and vision coverage Paid time off and company holidays Remote work options What You’ll Be Doing Lead and support a solution engineering team focused on shared services, reusable libraries, and common integration capabilities across product teams Drive roadmap delivery by managing timelines, quality, and execution across cross-functional partners and distributed engineering squads Provide coaching, feedback, and technical leadership to a senior-heavy engineering team; contribute to hiring and team development as needed Collaborate with product, architecture, QA, and engineering teams to enable delivery through shared standards, technical guidance, and coordinated adoption of common platform patterns Design, support, and evolve backend services and high-volume REST APIs that process data from multiple endpoints and device-driven systems Serve as an escalation entry point (Level 4) for complex application-related production issues, triaging incidents and coordinating resolution across teams Champion secure application development practices and compliance expectations, supporting vulnerability remediation and secure SDLC adoption Promote performance and reliability practices including asynchronous programming, concurrency models, performance optimization, monitoring, and logging Drive adoption of modern engineering practices across CI/CD, deployment, scanning, and scaling, taking a technology-agnostic approach aligned to platform needs Develop clear change-management approaches, technical guidance, and adoption plans to reduce cross-team friction and cognitive load Partner across teams to modernize services and support future platform evolution, including cloud migration initiatives and modernization efforts What You’ll Need Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including technical leadership through mentoring, enablement, or cross-team collaboration Strong experience designing and supporting backend services and RESTful APIs in production environments Hands-on proficiency with C# (.NET / ASP.NET Core) Experience with Python services (development or support), with the ability to work across both ecosystems as needed Experience working with AWS cloud services, including services such as Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, or comparable cloud platforms Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud-hosted deployments Working knowledge of API security and authentication (OAuth2, JWT, API keys) and general secure development practices Ability to support production systems, including troubleshooting, incident response, and coordination of issue resolution Strong technical judgment, with the ability to guide design decisions, review solutions, and provide hands-on support when needed Proven ability to mentor engineers, communicate effectively, and influence technical decisions without direct authority Comfort working in globally distributed teams, adapting to shifting priorities, and collaborating across time zones Additional Preferred Qualifications Experience with modern front-end development concepts, including single-page applications (SPA) and frameworks such as Angular and/or React Familiarity with performance-oriented backend development including async patterns, serialization, and concurrency Experience supporting systems involving multiple upstream data sources and high-throughput integration pipelines At Clario, our purpose is to transform lives by unlocking better evidence. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including technical leadership through mentoring, enablement, or cross-team collaboration
Strong experience designing and supporting backend services and RESTful APIs in production environments
Hands-on proficiency with C# (.NET / ASP.NET Core)
Experience with Python services (development or support), with the ability to work across both ecosystems as needed
Experience working with AWS cloud services, including services such as Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, or comparable cloud platforms
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud-hosted deployments
Working knowledge of API security and authentication (OAuth2, JWT, API keys) and general secure development practices
