About The Position

We’re looking for engineers who think differently about how software gets built. Our Product Development team is growing, and we’re hiring a Software Engineer who actively uses modern AI tooling and agents as part of their real development This isn’t a “prompt engineering” role — it’s a hands-on engineering role for someone who understands how cloud systems work and uses AI tools to ship faster without compromising quality. NOTE: This is a hybrid role located in South Austin (near Dripping Springs). Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Requirements

3–6 years of experience shipping production software
Experience building or contributing to cloud-based applications (AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar)
Understanding of service-based or microservices architectures
Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
Familiarity with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL)
Experience with Docker (or similar), CI/CD pipelines, and Git
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Actively use AI coding assistants in your day-to-day development
Be able to explain how you validate AI-generated outputs
Have experimented with running multiple agents or workflows in parallel
Understand when not to rely on AI
Be thoughtful about code quality, security, and edge cases

Nice To Haves

Experience working on high-availability SaaS platforms
Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka or similar)
Experience with infrastructure-as-code
Exposure to observability tools (monitoring, tracing, alerting)
Experience integrating AI services or APIs into applications

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable services in a cloud environment
Contribute to architecture decisions with guidance from senior engineers
Build and maintain APIs and service integrations
Use AI agents to assist with coding, testing, refactoring, and debugging
Review and validate AI-generated code for correctness and maintainability
Improve performance, reliability, and observability of existing systems
Collaborate cross-functionally to translate business needs into technical solutions
Continuously evaluate and improve your AI-assisted development workflow
