Schedule and Work Details Location: OPS 2B Schedule: Full-time, on-site Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (required) Here’s What Your Day-to-Day Might Look Like You will develop and maintain core software components supporting operational applications, including enhancements, troubleshooting, and integration with other mission systems. Your day may involve implementing new features, resolving defects, or improving performance across distributed services. You will write production-quality code, scripts, and deployment artifacts while collaborating with system engineers and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet real mission needs. You will also help deploy and operate containerized services, refine CI/CD pipelines, and support ongoing sustainment of existing capabilities as requirements evolve. Integration work is a major part of the role. You will connect internal applications with COTS, GOTS, and open-source tools, ensuring interoperability and reliability across the environment.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (required)
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus 5 years of relevant experience, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus 7 years of relevant experience, OR
  • 9 years of relevant Software Engineering experience in programs of similar scope and complexity
  • Strong experience with Linux command-line environments and development tools
  • Proficiency in Python (3.x) software development
  • Experience writing automation scripts using Bash
  • Experience with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker and containerd
  • Experience deploying and operating services in Kubernetes environments
  • Experience building Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments
  • Familiarity with messaging systems such as RabbitMQ
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices and tools, including GitLab CI
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code concepts and tools such as Ansible
  • Proficiency using Git for source control

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools including Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with Rust or willingness to learn it
  • Experience integrating multiple software components in complex environments
