As a key system-level leader, you will be the primary architect for advancing infection prevention and control practices across the entire continuum of care, including hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and physician offices. This role bridges the gap between high-level strategy and clinical execution by leading collaborative efforts to develop, implement, and sustain evidence-based standards that align with regulatory requirements while fostering a proactive culture of patient and staff safety. By serving as a mentor and expert resource to infection preventionists throughout the organization, you will provide the strategic direction and work review necessary to ensure high-quality, consistent clinical outcomes. Furthermore, you will act as a vital liaison to IU Health leadership and external partners—such as the Indiana Hospital Association, the Indiana Department of Health, and the Patient Safety Coalition—to address emerging health concerns, manage multidrug-resistant organisms, and coordinate infectious disease outbreak responses. Through your participation in system committees and the design of new services and training programs, you will be instrumental in strengthening the organization’s overall infection prevention infrastructure and long-term readiness.
