Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Warehouse Specialist leads the end-to-end material flow within the manufacturing operation, including inbound receiving, inventory control, internal material movement, warehousing, and outbound shipping. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant handling of raw materials, subassemblies, and finished industrial power conversion equipment, while supporting production schedules, cost control, quality objectives, and on-time customer delivery.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in Shipping/Receiving, Warehouse Management, Manufacturing Operations, or a related field
  • 6–9+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems for inventory control, shipping, receiving, and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of domestic and international shipping practices and export documentation.
  • Certification and/or operational knowledge of lifting equipment such as fork trucks, cranes, and other material handling equipment.
  • Experience handling high-value components and industrial equipment.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Clear communicator with strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and process discipline.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience supporting material management for the manufacture of industrial equipment, electrical assemblies, or engineered products strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving and Incoming Material Control Manage receiving operations for inbound raw materials, electronic components, mechanical items, and equipment.
  • Assist carriers with proper unloading of trucks via hand, dolly, pallet jack, forklift or other material handling tools/equipment
  • Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips and accurately enter ERP receipt transactions.
  • Perform incoming quality inspection as defined for items and ensure proper nonconforming material segregation.
  • Shipping and Logistics Oversee all outbound shipments, including domestic and international freight, LTL/FTL, parcel, and expedited shipments.
  • Ensure proper packaging, crating, labeling, and documentation for shipment of finished goods.
  • Coordinate freight carriers, negotiate rates in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Prepare and review shipping documentation (BOLs, packing lists, commercial invoices, certificates of origin, export documentation).
  • Processes shipments via ERP and other required business systems.
  • Warehouse and Inventory Management Own inventory accuracy across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods; assist with leading cycle count programs, annual physical inventory, and audit initiatives.
  • Maintain organized, clearly labeled, and efficient warehouse layouts to support production flow and picking accuracy.
  • Establish and enforce FIFO, material handling standards, and storage requirements as required for specific components.
  • Monitor inventory levels, obsolete/slow-moving stock, and excess material and collaborate with procurement on corrective actions.
  • Building Maintenance & Special Projects Perform regular and recurring basic building maintenance such as landscaping, bulb replacement, sweeping/moping production areas, transfer of garbage and recyclables to dumpster, forklift and other material handling equipment maintenance, sidewalk winter shovel/salt, and minor infrastructure repairs/improvements.
  • Support assembly, installation, relocation, and design of new tooling, fixtures, furniture, and equipment as required by production.
  • Primary point of contact for all sub-contracted facility maintenance services (both one-time/project and annual contracts)
