About The Position

The Sr. Business Development Manager’s primary responsibilities are to deliver measurable results that achieve or exceed company objectives with respect to retention and expansion of client revenue. This position manages and protects relationships, maximizes recurring revenue opportunities, and strengthens loyalty by becoming a trusted advisor to Christine Taylor Collection (CTC) and Keenpac, Bunzl Retail Resources client partners. Responsibilities: Re-enforce best practices with respect to Business Development -Sales and Marketing; follow established processes: initial inquiries and presentation of bids through conversion to purchase orders – closing new sales, recurring sales, and creating future prospects. Perform proactive outreach to existing and returning clients within a defined territory, location or as assigned Conduct cold calls and other outreach to qualified leads Develop monthly/weekly sales plans that include prospecting activities and forecast Maintain and refine database or list of prospective client/prospects for sales leads Support on demand reporting of all client service and sales activities Prepare bi-weekly sales headlines summary for Supervisor or as requested Oversee accuracy within JD Edwards (via weekly reporting) as it relates to assigned fields of responsibility (in store date, estimated revenue, quoted amounts, etc.) Develop, maintain, and share with Business Development/Sales and Marketing teams an understanding of technical and business challenges prospects and clients face Identify opportunities to increase sales of products and services that meet identified challenges or market needs. Utilize market research to identify sales opportunities that assure market performance and penetration in support of business initiatives Build strong relationships with clients and prospects that generate sales, guide problem resolution discussions and ultimately lasting partnerships Broaden and grow contacts within client organizations for cross selling purposes and reduce risk due to key contact departure (attrition) Stays up to date on professional knowledge and retail trends

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in a leadership role related to sales and/or client or account management within the retail community.
  • Sales/account Management/Business Development
  • Packaging/Retail industry understanding - experience preferred
  • Solid understanding of the creative development process
  • Project management/product development optimal
  • Team leadership/accountability
  • This position will require travel 50- 75%.
