About The Position

AHCA/NCAL is seeking a Senior Director of the Quality Award Program to improve lives by delivering solutions for quality care by providing direction, daily operations, ongoing development, promotion and evaluation of the AHCA/NCAL Quality Award Program and support of AHCA’s quality activities. This role will also provide leadership to ensure excellence in the delivery of customer service and member experience with the AHCA/NCAL Quality Award Program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Five to ten years’ professional experience, with experience in an association or other membership organization preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters preferred, with specialty in management, quality or health-related fields a plus.
  • Nursing Home Administration experience is strongly preferred.
  • Quality management training and experience with the Baldrige Criteria ideal.

Responsibilities

  • Lead staff person responsible for the direction, strategy and day-to-day operations of the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award program including meeting expected outcomes and metrics.
  • Lead staff team responsible for day-to-day operations of the program and assist with department projects as needed.
  • Oversee contractors, including directing their activities, ensuring their deliverables meet contract expectations and program standards.
  • Manage/direct collaborative efforts with other staff beyond the Quality & Regulatory Department (e.g, IT, public affairs, finance, member services, meetings, NCAL, etc.) to ensure that program needs are met and opportunities are maximized.
  • Lead delivery of excellent customer service to AHCA/NCAL members to support optimal experience engaging in the Quality Award Program.
  • Lead development of processes, procedures, tools and strategies to enhance the program and continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and manage annual program budget to include the analysis and preparation of monthly financial variance reports in coordination with the VP.
  • Develop innovative approaches to support growth of the Program including the exploration and pursuit of adoption of the QA program in alternate payment models.
  • Other Duties as assigned.
