As the AI Program Manager, you will play a critical leadership role at the crossroads of business strategy, technology delivery, and technology change management to ensure seamless, on-time, and high-quality deployment of AI capabilities that empower employees and transform workflows. Job Description The Sourcing AI Program Manager is a senior IT leadership role responsible for spearheading the planning, coordination, and execution of AI assistant within the context of a complex, multi-generation product development program. This role requires a deeply skilled program leader with extensive experience managing end-to-end delivery of AI-driven products and services within large, matrixed organizations. You will coordinate with Function Program Leader to enable cross-functional collaboration between Functional Product Owners and AI Product Owners and ensure that AI initiatives are aligned with the enterprise strategy and achieve measurable business outcomes by driving disciplined program execution, robust prioritization, risk management, stakeholder engagement, adoption, and activation across multiple business functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of program or portfolio management experience leading complex IT or digital transformation initiatives, with proven success delivering AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics products.
  • Demonstrated experience managing programs with multi-phase, multi-year horizons and cross-functional teams in large enterprise or industrial organizations.
  • Strong technical understanding of AI technologies, including the software development lifecycle for AI/ML-powered products and familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and data science collaboration practices.
  • Exceptional capability in translating strategic business requirements into program priorities and detailed delivery plans.
  • Deep experience in stakeholder management, facilitation skills, and influencing senior leaders and diverse teams across business and technical domains.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a track record of managing complex scheduling, interdependencies, resources, and risk mitigation in fast-moving, dynamic environments.
  • Proven ability to lead adoption and change management activities that support scaling AI solutions within business functions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills, with fluency in articulating complex AI concepts and business impacts to different audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • A Master’s degree or MBA is highly preferred.
  • Industry knowledge specific to industrial, manufacturing, or process-driven enterprises with enterprise process transformation experience.
  • Understanding of AI prompt engineering approaches, data readiness assessments, and integration challenges related to AI adoption at scale.
  • Certifications in Program/Project Management (e.g., PMP, PgMP) or Agile/Scaled Agile Frameworks (e.g., Scrum Master, SAFe) are a plus.
  • Experience working in or leading globally distributed, matrixed teams supporting multiple business units and geographic regions.
  • Prior experience collaborating with data governance and architecture teams to address data quality, privacy, and compliance concerns in AI programs.

Responsibilities

  • Program Strategy & Roadmap Leadership: Own and drive the comprehensive program-level strategy for AI solution delivery, including creating and maintaining a dynamic roadmap that aligns with business priorities, technical capability maturation, and enterprise transformation goals within the multi-generation product development framework.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate productive collaboration among cross-functional teams — business leaders, Functional Product Owners, AI Product Owners, data scientists, software engineers, and AI architects — ensuring that priorities, dependencies, and trade-offs are transparently addressed.
  • Delivery Orchestration: Manage the end-to-end execution delivery lifecycle of AI assistants, from initial concept and discovery through iterative development, field testing, validation, and scaled deployment, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, quality standards, and defined business metrics.
  • Prioritization & Trade-off Management: Work closely with stakeholders to prioritize AI feature backlogs, pilot programs, and scaling pipelines based on impact potential, technical feasibility, data availability, and readiness for change adoption.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate program risks and blockers, including technical challenges, organizational barriers, resource constraints, and interdependencies — ensuring clear escalation paths and resolution mechanisms.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Serve as a trusted liaison to senior leadership and executive sponsors by delivering regular program updates, progress reports, and transparent communications about status, risks, benefits, and measurable impact.
  • Field Testing and Business Activation: Drive real-world testing of AI assistant solutions in operational environments, gather feedback, refine capabilities, and collaborate with business change agents to orchestrate adoption, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Change Management Enablement: Partner with business teams to embed AI solutions into workflows, address cultural shifts, build user confidence, and support change management efforts to maximize usage and measurable business value realization.
  • Measurement and Impact Tracking: Define, collect, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics that demonstrate the business value, efficiency gains, and other tangible outcomes resulting from AI deployments.
  • Best Practices Evolution: Contribute to the continuous refinement of program delivery methodologies, governance models, and toolsets tailored specifically to AI and multi-generation product development in an enterprise context.
