About The Position

We are seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to join our team supporting the Nevada National Security Site! This position is full-time and will be based out of North Las Vegas, Nevada. Responsibilities Develop Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs) and/or Project Requirement Specifications (PRS) for electrical projects. Support the electrical component of building, utility, or equipment projects including project/task breakdowns, identification of requirements (functional, non-functional, operational requirements). Develop conceptual visualizations and illustrations of the layouts, site plans, and other perspective views to support the requirements document. Develop FRD/PRS and work with integrated project teams (IPTs) and stakeholders to capture their input, research, develop the existing process, use existing templates and previous projects, perform FRD/PRS reviews and comment incorporation and resolution with IPT members, and finalize the document for approvals. The NNSA's Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) helps ensure the security of the United States and its allies by supporting the stewardship of the nuclear deterrent, providing emergency response capability and training, and contributing to key nonproliferation and arms control initiatives. It executes unique national-level experiments, supports national security customers, manages the legacy of the nuclear deterrent, and provide long-term environmental stewardship for site missions (energy.gov). Requirements

  • Education & Years of Experience – Bachelor’s Degree and 13+ years of relevant experience; additional, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Citizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.
  • Clearance – To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
