Overview We are seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to lead troubleshooting efforts for complex RF electronic systems during production validation. This role requires deep technical expertise to diagnose and resolve failures in sophisticated multi-band communication and sensor systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • 7+ years of hardware engineering experience with emphasis on production test and failure analysis
  • Strong background in RF circuit design and troubleshooting
  • Experience with high-power RF systems and amplifier design
  • Proficiency with RF test equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators)
  • Demonstrated ability to perform board-level and component-level diagnosis
  • Experience with sensor systems and signal processing hardware
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AI/ML-enabled sensor systems
  • Knowledge of Software Defined Radio (SDR) architectures
  • Familiarity with thermal analysis and power integrity
  • Experience with portable/battery-powered defense systems
  • Background in electromagnetic warfare or electronic countermeasure systems
  • Proficiency with lab tools including thermal imaging, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers
  • Experience with reliability testing and HALT/HASS methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Lead root cause analysis for units failing production test procedures
  • Diagnose complex failures in multi-band RF systems (up to 6 RF bands)
  • Troubleshoot high-power RF transmission circuits and power amplifier stages
  • Analyze failures in sensor integration subsystems including passive detection arrays
  • Interface with design engineering to identify and resolve systemic issues
  • Develop and implement production test improvements and yield enhancement strategies
  • Create detailed failure analysis reports and recommend design or process modifications
  • Support validation of engineering change orders (ECOs) on the production line
  • Mentor production test technicians and junior engineers
  • Coordinate with supply chain on component-level quality issues
