Job Description Key Responsibilities Maintenance Planning & Scheduling Procure required spare parts, labor, specialized tools, contracts, and documentation (e.g., CRRAs, SOPs) to ensure readiness for work execution. Develop and maintain weekly maintenance schedules and plant shutdown work plans , identifying and coordinating external resources as needed to support recovery activities. Receive and manage work orders from assigned departments; coordinate emergency work requests with Maintenance Supervisors for immediate execution. Maintain and manage backlog files of work orders awaiting scheduling, ensuring prioritization aligns with business needs and requested completion dates. Work Order Estimation & Cost Control Develop detailed job estimates , including task sequencing, required trades, number of mechanics, and labor hours per step. Estimate total work order costs , including direct labor, materials, and overall job cost. Review completed work orders to compare actual labor and material usage versus estimates , identifying opportunities to improve estimating accuracy and work methods. Prepare and maintain maintenance planning and performance reports . Execution Oversight & Coordination Attend production planning meetings and participate in overall plant scheduling , negotiating downtime windows for preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Follow up with Team Leaders and Maintenance Technicians to ensure schedules and work orders are executed as planned. Monitor work order progress and review completed schedules and documentation returned by Maintenance Supervisors. Safety, Compliance & Documentation Ensure safety requirements are prioritized in all maintenance planning and scheduling activities. Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) , current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) , and all applicable regulatory requirements. Revise and maintain SOPs and other controlled documentation as required. Control and manage maintenance inventory and specialized tools . Training & Leadership Function as project lead for assigned maintenance initiatives and shutdown activities. Provide refresher training to departmental groups as needed to reinforce procedures, safety expectations, and best practices.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma with at least 6 years of relevant maintenance, planning, or manufacturing experience.
  • Current Leaving Certificate and Trades Certificate .
  • GSL certification (as applicable).
