About The Position

The Senior Manager of Corporate Communications is responsible for developing and executing NOVONIX’s corporate communications, media engagement, and marketing strategy to strengthen the company’s brand and industry presence. This role leads integrated communications initiatives across public and internal channels to ensure consistent messaging aligned with NOVONIX’s mission, strategic priorities, and business objectives. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Execution, this role partners closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to position NOVONIX as a leader in the battery, critical minerals, and energy transition sectors. The position will drive strategic storytelling, elevate the company’s profile with key stakeholders, and support major company initiatives through effective communications, media engagement, and events.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience in corporate communications, marketing, or a related field (public company experience a plus)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Finance, Business, or a related field (graduate degree or MBA is a plus)
  • Proven experience in multi-channel communication strategies and brand management
  • Proven advanced written and verbal communication skills; able to create concise, visually compelling, and high-impact presentations and materials
  • Skilled in building and managing cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders including Finance, HR, Operations, Product Development, Business Development, and Executive Leadership
  • Highly organized, deadline-driven, and capable of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS), Microsoft Office Suite, and digital tools such as SEO/SEM platforms, analytics dashboards, email marketing systems, and social scheduling software
  • Comfortable supporting and managing marketing and communications budgets
  • Entrepreneurial and hands-on; willing to roll up your sleeves and lead by example
  • Adaptable and confident navigating fast-paced, ambiguous, or evolving environments
  • Creative thinker with analytical capabilities and an eye for detail
  • Passionate about storytelling, team building, and culture shaping
  • Able to manage sensitive or confidential information with the highest level of discretion and professionalism

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a unified corporate communications strategy aligned with NOVONIX’s brand, mission, and business objectives
  • Create and lead internal communications strategies that support employee engagement and organizational alignment
  • Support executive leadership with internal announcements, board materials, change communication, as well as speech, disclosure, and report writing.
  • Develop communication plans to elevate the company’s profile within the battery, critical minerals, energy transition, and advanced manufacturing sectors
  • Position the company and its projects as strategically important to domestic supply chains, energy security, and industrial policy through a clear public narrative and targeted media coverage of key milestones and project developments
  • Proactively cultivate relationships with media covering batteries, critical minerals, energy transition, manufacturing, and government policy
  • Lead integrated marketing and content strategy, including digital, print, video, and social platforms
  • Manage third-party agencies supporting marketing and creative efforts
  • Ensure all content is on-brand, aligned with messaging strategy, and measurable
  • Manage NOVONIX tradeshow and media events; coordinate with the Senior Investor Relations Associate on investor conferences and analyst days
  • Manage cross-functional coordination and external partnerships for all events
  • Ensure event messaging aligns with corporate positioning and strategic objectives
  • Support KPI establishment and monitor performance of communications and marketing initiatives
  • Support team budget and optimize spend across projects and campaigns
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with Business Development, Finance, Operations, and HR
