Sr. Software Engineer - GolfNow
About The Position
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to a wide range of B2B2C customer-facing Golf applications. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects and technologies, with a primary focus on building custom WordPress plugins and themes. Beyond WordPress, you’ll also collaborate on applications built with Next.js, .NET 8 for mobile development, and Node.js services using NestJS. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, embraces variety, and is eager to support the team wherever needed. You should be comfortable switching between different languages and frameworks, and passionate about delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in frontend or full-stack software development
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and design patterns
- Extensive experience with PHP and WordPress development.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with React and Next.js.
- Ability to work across multiple technologies and platforms.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, RabbitMQ
- Familiarity with AI tools for coding and configuration
- Knowledge of architecture design principles
- Experience with GitHub Actions and AWS
- Experience developing large-scale, consumer-facing web applications
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Mobile development experience (preferably .NET MAUI)
- Knowledge of PCI compliance or other security-critical environments
- Comfortable balancing short-term delivery needs with long-term architecture goals

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain custom WordPress plugins and themes for Golf applications.
