Position Overview: As the Sr. Indirect Sourcing Lead, you will shape and execute sourcing strategies that support enterprise priorities across your assigned indirect categories. You will work closely with senior leaders to align business needs, financial considerations, and market realities, enabling informed and balanced decisions. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor who brings commercial insight, structure, and clarity to complex sourcing discussions. You will help elevate sourcing into a consultative, value‑adding function through thoughtful challenge, strong preparation, and sound judgment. This opportunity allows you to influence enterprise-level outcomes and drive meaningful business impact through strategic partnership and ownership.

Requirements

  • BS in Business or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in sourcing.
  • Proficiency with business analytics tools such as MS Excel and Power BI.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex topics and present with executive presence.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and challenge constructively while upholding key commercial principles.
  • Experience partnering with senior leadership and translating business objectives into sourcing strategies.
  • Comfortable operating in a transformational environment with evolving expectations.
  • Up to 15% local travel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute category and sourcing strategies aligned with enterprise objectives, financial plans, and risk considerations.
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, Operations, and functional leaders to align sourcing strategies with business priorities and operational needs.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing clear, commercially grounded recommendations on sourcing strategy, supplier selection, and contract structure.
  • Lead complex negotiations and structure agreements that balance cost, value, flexibility, and long-term supplier partnership.
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships, setting expectations for performance, transparency, and accountability.
  • Facilitate executive-level discussions on cost models, pricing mechanisms, and risk trade-offs, presenting information in clear business terms.
  • Use data, benchmarking, and market intelligence to build fact-based recommendations and articulate risks, results, and opportunities.
  • Drive total cost of ownership (TCO) thinking across stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Challenge supplier commercial models that are misaligned with value delivered or governance expectations.
  • Lead supplier performance management, including escalations, corrective action, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure contracts and sourcing decisions are well documented, communicated, and compliant with Polaris standards.
  • Navigate ambiguity and differing stakeholder priorities with professionalism and sound judgment.
