Overview As an Sr Specialist, Executive Compensation, you will serve as a senior individual contributor and subject matter expert responsible for designing, implementing, and managing executive and enterprise incentive compensation programs. You will shape and evolve executive pay frameworks to support business strategy, align performance with outcomes, and attract, retain, and motivate senior talent in accordance with the company’s compensation philosophy. As a trusted advisor, you will lead complex analyses, support board-level governance, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver data-driven insights to inform executive compensation decisions and practices.

Requirements

  • Typically, 8+ years of experience in compensation, with significant focus on executive compensation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field; CCP or advanced degree preferred.
  • Significant experience in executive compensation or total rewards.
  • Strong analytical, modeling, and executive-level communication skills.
  • Experience supporting both private and public companies.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing materials for Compensation Committees and Boards of Directors.
  • Experience filing and reporting information such as the proxy statement, client RFP responses relating to compensation, etc.
  • Deep understanding of equity compensation vehicles (profits interests, options, RSUs, PSUs), IRC Section 409A and other regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in compensation survey data, modeling, and equity valuation tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage executive compensation programs, including base pay, annual incentives, equity vehicles, and LTIPs.
  • Design and administer the Short-Term Incentive (STI) plan for all employee levels across the company.
  • Conduct executive compensation benchmarking using survey data, proxy analysis, and market intelligence. Evaluate market alignment, performance outcomes, dilution impact, and governance considerations.
  • Support equity program design, strategy, and related governance practices. Partner with Legal, Finance, and HR to ensure regulatory compliance and sound governance.
  • Lead or support executive compensation-related regulatory requirements and disclosures.
  • Prepare materials for Compensation Committee and Board meetings, including benchmarking, program design recommendations, and performance-to-pay analyses.
  • Advise stakeholders on complex compensation matters and collaborate across functions.
  • Partner with the Compensation Manager on job evaluations and grade assignments across all jobs.
  • Maintain professionalism and discretion in all communications.
