The primary purpose of the Sr Specialist, Field Development Back Office is to facilitate and support the development of back-office operations, and Regional Trainers with a consistent focus on the Perfect Patient Experience® and the Mouth-Body Connections®. This individual will assist supported dental offices in maximizing their financial and operational results, productivity, professional development through focused training and regular feedback thus creating a cohesive culture of patient centric team members. The position also collaborates with department heads, subject matter experts and business representatives in identifying and implementing enhancements or new technical solutions. The incumbent gathers documents and translates business requirements into technical requirements (language/stories/roadmaps/solutions). The incumbent provides technical and analytical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing, solutions that maximize cost structure, revenue, quality, usability, and overall patient satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Business, or Organization Development from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience; in lieu of degree 5+ years of training and development experience.
  • 6+ years of prior training and development experience in a multi-office, distributed environment.
  • Experience managing, coaching and mentoring subordinates and teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, written communication and organization skills are required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Applications Suite of products.
  • Ability to travel to offices via car or airplane is required 50-75% of the time.
  • Drives personal vehicle for company business 25% or more of the time to perform essential functions of the job
  • Valid Drivers License Required

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) or higher in Business, Organization Development from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.

Responsibilities

  • Model of company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices based on the We Believe Behavioral Framework.
  • Assist supported dental offices on optimizing their potential through efficient, effective execution of the Perfect Patient Experience® including elements of the Mouth-Body Connection®.
  • Facilitate and implement office training techniques to be utilized by supported dental offices to maximize productivity, professional development, and communication resulting in improvement of office flow and execution.
  • Facilitate workshops and in-person coaching sessions. Partner with regional leadership on training schedules to ensure team members complete their Essentials/Development Programs on-time. Provide appropriate feedback to Management as needed to ensure that supported offices and team members maximize their potential.
  • Participate in the assessment, evaluation, and development of Regional Back Office Trainers/Managers to coordinate and deliver appropriate training in conjunction with the Regional Management and National Support Departments, ensuring their role as well as the education content or materials used are always in accordance with the PDS Health platform.
  • Take a leadership role in the education, coaching, mentoring and career development for team members of PDS Health® and its supported practices. Assume primary responsibility for best practice execution in these areas as it relates to training (including alternate methods of delivery).
  • Relationship building of a strategic nature with owner doctors, dentists, managers and regional leadership.
  • Develop back-office content for applicable structured meetings, Essentials/Development Programs and reference materials. Provide written reports with recommendations on process improvements and best practices. This to include all back office related content.
  • Act as a Liaison between Field Operations and National Support. Partner with management to implement new procedures and best practices at the field level with concurrent accountability ensuring that field offices can continue to function effectively and efficiently during the implementation process.
  • Translates business requirements into technical requirements and stories to support application development.
  • Performs gap analysis by comparing current state to future/desired state.
  • Coordinates resources, as needed, with Department Heads and Regional Leadership Team assists in training, participates in development of rollout strategy, and execution of deployment plans for field related processes.
  • May provide project coordination, and coordination of user acceptance testing, including Alphas, Betas and full Deployment.
  • Manage a productive and efficient schedule that supports the directives and imperatives provided by the direct supervisor while maintaining fiscal responsibility and flexibility to potential changes.
  • Maintain an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor as per company policy.
  • Ensures Compliance with all policies and standards, as well as State, Federal and other regulatory bodies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
