  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and manufacturing systems
  • Experience with digital manufacturing technologies, data integration platforms, and automated systems
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to influence across organizational levels
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree (MBA, MS Engineering, MS Operations Research) preferred
  • Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or high-tech industries with complex product development cycles
  • Background in supply chain management, manufacturing operations, or production engineering
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES), PLM tools (Teamcenter, Windchill), and automated data integration platforms
  • Demonstrated experience implementing digital thread initiatives or Industry 4.0 technologies
  • Previous experience in a startup or rapidly scaling organization
  • Experience with production engineering standards development and deployment
  • Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing standards (AS9100, NADCAP) and quality systems

Responsibilities

  • Automate signals between engineering and operations through appropriate data flows and digital threads, ensuring seamless information exchange across the product lifecycle
  • Understand, lead, define, and simplify processes while developing automated systems that integrate manufacturing data into MSE (Manufacturing Systems Engineering) tools, ensuring critical information flows back to engineering teams at optimal points in the product development lifecycle
  • Design and implement digital frameworks that capture, analyze, and distribute engineering and operational intelligence to relevant stakeholders
  • Establish automated feedback loops between production floor and design teams to enable rapid decision-making
  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify operational inefficiencies and implement data-driven solutions
  • Create and deploy framework to ensure operations input in early design and development activities, embedding manufacturability and operational considerations into the design process
  • Collaborate on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Operations (DFO) initiatives to ensure digital thread integration starting from conceptual and preliminary design phases
  • Establish simple Agile/gate review processes that incorporate operations perspectives into design milestones
  • Develop standardized methodologies for operations impact assessment during new product development
  • Take ownership of various production engineering standards and initiatives, ensuring consistency and excellence
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve production engineering standards, work instructions, and best practices
  • Lead implementation of industry standards (AS9100, ISO 9001) and internal operational excellence frameworks
  • Drive standardization initiatives across multiple manufacturing sites and product lines
  • Partner with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and business development teams to optimize and simplify end-to-end processes
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational excellence and digital thread effectiveness
  • Lead strategic planning sessions and present findings to senior leadership
  • Support business case development for major operational investments and infrastructure decisions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%, and an Education Support Program.
  • Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
  • Dependent on role type and job level, employees may be eligible for benefits and bonuses based on the company's intent to reward individual contributions and enable them to share in the company's results, or other factors at the company's sole discretion.
