About The Position

The Senior Vice President, Technical Services and Innovation (SVP, Technical Services and Innovation) is a critical executive leadership role within the Vivos organization. This position provides end-to-end technical and scientific leadership across Research & Development, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Regulatory partnership, and Technical Project Management. The SVP is accountable for building and executing a robust innovation and commercialization pipeline across branded and private label products, ensuring speed-to-market, quality, compliance, and cost competitiveness. This role leads complex, cross-functional technical programs from concept through commercialization, applying best-in-class project and portfolio management practices while ensuring rigorous stage-gate governance. The SVP partners closely with Vivos’s portfolio companies, including their Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Regulatory, and Engineering teams, as well as external partners to deliver differentiated products that meet customer, retailer, and regulatory expectations. In addition, this role establishes enterprise-wide technical standards, metrics, and processes that strengthen Vivos’s competitive advantage and culture of quality. In addition, this role will play a key leadership role in the development, launch, and scaling of new technical and laboratory service capabilities within Vivos, including external-facing innovation and testing platforms. As these capabilities mature, the role is expected to assume broader business leadership responsibilities, including end-to-end accountability for select technical services and laboratory businesses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or related technical discipline required.
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in consumer products, preferably within personal care, health & beauty, wipes, or related CPG categories.
  • Demonstrated experience leading R&D, quality, and regulated product development organizations.
  • Proven track record managing complex, cross-functional development and commercialization programs.
  • Experience with FDA-regulated (drug and/or OTC) products required.
  • Deep technical and industry knowledge in consumer products and regulated environments.
  • Executive-level project, program, and portfolio management expertise.
  • Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capability.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to challenge assumptions, ask difficult questions, and drive decisions respectfully.
  • Data-driven, results-oriented, and proactive problem solver.
  • Strong change leadership and talent development skills.

  • Experience with private label and national brand product portfolios strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting or leading customer-facing technical services, laboratory operations, or multi-client environments preferred.

  • Experience leading or launching new business units, platforms, or services within a larger organization preferred.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Strategy & Leadership Provide executive leadership for R&D, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and technical project management functions.
  • Establish and execute a multi-year technical and innovation roadmap aligned with Vivos’s mission, vision, and business strategy.
  • Lead identification, assessment, and advancement of innovation opportunities across formulations, materials, processes, and platforms.
  • Cultivate a culture of scientific rigor, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Lead the development of scalable technical and laboratory platforms that can support both internal product development and external customer services.
  • Translate scientific capabilities into differentiated, market-facing technical offerings that create new revenue streams and competitive advantage.
  • Lead the design and build-out of new technical and laboratory capabilities, including facilities, equipment, systems, and operating models, as required to support future growth initiatives.
  • Program, Project & Portfolio Leadership Own and govern the technical innovation portfolio, ensuring projects are appropriately scoped, resourced, prioritized, and managed through the stage-gate process.
  • Serve as executive sponsor for the most complex, high-impact, cross-functional development and commercialization programs.
  • Ensure project plans achieve committed timelines, budgets, performance targets, and quality standards.
  • Establish and monitor portfolio and project KPIs, health metrics, financial performance, and post-launch outcomes.
  • Identify, assess, mitigate, and escalate technical, regulatory, and execution risks, with particular focus on critical path activities.
  • Expand portfolio governance to include technical service offerings, laboratory capacity planning, and utilization optimization.
  • Ensure portfolio decisions appropriately balance innovation investment, speed-to-market, risk, and financial return.
  • Balance product development and technical services portfolios to optimize customer value, capacity utilization, and financial returns.
  • Stage-Gate, Governance & Process Excellence Champion enterprise-wide adoption of standardized project management, stage-gate governance, and technical development processes.
  • Ensure strong cross-functional engagement, accountability, and timely decision-making throughout project lifecycles.
  • Maintain executive-level visibility to active and upcoming projects, milestones, risks, and resource demands.
  • Quality, Compliance & Regulatory Oversight Lead the quality management program to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, guidelines, corporate standards, and cGMP requirements.
  • Ensure a constant state of inspection readiness across manufacturing, packaging, and distribution sites, with the mindset that “every day is inspection day.”
  • Serve as executive lead for regulatory authority, customer, and third-party audits; oversee timely and effective responses and corrective actions.
  • Develop and lead management review processes to identify systemic quality or product issues and drive sustainable improvements.
  • Assess and qualify supplier and vendor quality programs and recommend enhancements where needed.
  • Oversee quality systems and compliance frameworks applicable to laboratory, testing, and technical services environments, including readiness for third-party accreditation and customer audits.
  • Commercialization & Manufacturing Interface Ensure superior technical and quality oversight from concept through scale-up, manufacturing, packaging, and distribution.
  • Partner with Operations and Engineering teams within Vivos’s portfolio companies to ensure manufacturability, robustness, and cost optimization of new and existing products.
  • Lead risk assessments and mitigation planning during development, validation, and commercialization phases.
  • Business & Financial Leadership Own Technical Services budgets, capital investments, and productivity initiatives.
  • Translate technical decisions into clear financial and business trade-offs for executive leadership and the Board.
  • Drive cost optimization through formulation, process improvements, supplier collaboration, and standardization—without compromising quality or brand equity.
  • Develop and track KPIs tied to innovation ROI, quality performance, speed-to-market, and risk reduction.
  • Partner with executive leadership to evaluate and develop new technical services business models, including pricing, cost-to-serve, and margin structure.
  • Contribute to revenue planning, growth initiatives and financial performance targets tied to technical and laboratory capabilities.
  • Prepare business cases and ROI analyses for new technical platforms, laboratory investments, and capability expansions.
  • People Leadership & Capability Building Build, develop, and retain high-performing technical and quality leadership teams.
  • Set clear expectations, objectives, and development plans for direct reports and their organizations.
  • Break down functional silos, enabling collaboration and knowledge sharing across R&D, Quality, and Operations.
  • Own departmental budgets, resource planning, and talent strategies.
  • External & Executive Engagement Manage key external technical relationships, including suppliers, partners, customers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide clear, concise, and actionable technical updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Represent Vivos and its portfolio companies as a senior technical and quality leader with customers, industry partners and regulatory bodies.
  • Support key customer engagements requiring senior scientific leadership, including technical reviews, audits, and capability presentations.
  • Participate in industry forums and thought leadership activities that reinforce Vivos’s technical credibility.
  • Serve as senior technical authority during critical customer engagements, audits, and strategic partner discussions.
  • Direct oversight of R&D, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Technical/Innovation Project Management teams.
