About The Position

This is a Sr. Web Designer Freelance Contractor position. In this role, you will craft seamless, user-centered web experiences. You'll collaborate with our team to research user needs, design intuitive site architectures, and create wireframes and prototypes that bring ideas to life. The ideal candidate has a strong portfolio of web projects, proficiency in Figma or Adobe XD, and a solid understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and user flows.

Requirements

Deep passion for design problem solving and a strong conceptual thinker.
Exceptional portfolio, demonstrating visual design executed to a very high level of impact and refinement.
Keen attention to detail and a passion for simplifying complicated systems.
Experience working collaboratively, in a user-centered way, with interaction designers, user researchers and developers.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly express the thinking behind design solutions.
Experience using interaction patterns and design systems, including familiarity with design guidelines and the ability to extend them based on user needs.

A systems approach to problem solving, where you approach every project in its totality rather than as individual pieces of execution.
Expertise with Sketch, FIGMA, or AdobeXD. Familiarity with InVision, or other prototyping tools a plus.
Expertise in typography, UI / UX systems, branded experiences.
7+ years of UX Design experience

Responsibilities

Create useful and visually appealing experiences for Aptive applications.
Create visual design systems that support compelling user experiences on a variety of platforms including web and mobile.
Bring extensive visual design expertise to user experience problems by visualizing possibilities, offering appropriate and delightful solutions, and clearly articulating design rationale and tradeoffs.
Leverage, extend and maintain the integrity of the Aptive brand.
Work on multiple projects simultaneously.
