About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Staff Accountant to join our growing administrative team. This mid-level position is perfect for someone with an Accounting degree or 3+ years of relevant experience who takes pride in their work and thrives both independently and as a part of a team. As a key member of our finance department, you will report directly to the CFO and manage a variety of tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, audits, and tax filings. You'll also have the opportunity to identify process improvement initiatives and mentor new employees on accounting expectations and procedures. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Independent and takes initiative to accomplish projects and tasks, confidence to ask questions and for support when needed
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software tools and financial reporting
  • Experience with annual audits, tax filings, and managing accounts payable/receivable
  • Ability to train and mentor team members on accounting processes and best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying process improvements
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
  • Assist with annual audit and tax filing processes
  • Produce and manage Certificates of Insurance for commercial contracts and proposals
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP
  • Support and enforce company accounting standards, including: Monthly expense reporting Client invoicing
  • Provide training and guidance to new employees on accounting procedures and tools
  • Collaborate closely with the CFO and administrative team to optimize accounting workflows
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
