About The Position

As a Staff Accountant at Iterable, you will be a foundational member of our Accounting team. This role is designed for a high-potential accounting professional who is eager to dive into the inner workings of a fast-scaled tech company. You will support key partnerships across Operations, Procurement, Legal, and FP&A, ensuring our financial engine runs smoothly. We value a growth mindset above all else. Requirements

  • 0–3 years of experience. We are looking for high-potential accounting professionals who possess one or a combination of the following:
  • Public Accounting Foundation: Experience within a Big 4 or top-tier public accounting firm, with a desire to transition into a high-growth corporate environment.
  • Academic Excellence: A robust educational background in Accounting (BS or MS) with a strong GPA and active leadership in accounting societies or honors programs.
  • Practical Exposure: Completion of a rigorous accounting internship, ideally within a fast-paced or multi-entity organization.
  • A solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and a desire to become a power user in NetSuite.
  • An analytical, problem-solving "builder" mentality. You aren't afraid to dive into the details to understand how a transaction flows through the system.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal skills; you can explain "the why" behind the numbers.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards for accuracy and quality.

Nice To Haves

  • (Experience with Navan or Numeric is a major plus, but we will train you!)
  • CPA or progress toward a CPA license is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support the month-end close process by preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Prepare initial monthly flux analysis for balance sheet and income statement accounts to identify trends or anomalies.
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for inquiries from other departments.
  • Work alongside our offshore team to ensure tasks are progressing to deadlines.
  • Assist with developing and improving accounting policies.
  • Be a versatile team player that can perform various tasks ranging from routine close procedures to ad-hoc projects, including providing support across various departments as well as for external requests (e.g. external audit).
  • Learn our system infrastructure and help identify ways to automate routine tasks using AI and modern accounting tools.
