We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our thriving team. If you're passionate about numbers, problem-solving, and collaborating with dynamic teams, this is the perfect opportunity for you. In this role, you’ll be responsible for key accounting tasks, including bank account reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis, and ad-hoc projects. You'll work closely with both the Accounting and Finance teams, gaining exposure to a wide range of functions and contributing to the financial health of Surya.

Requirements

• Education & Experience: A degree in Accounting or Finance is required. 2-3 years of related experience is preferred, though an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications is essential. Experience with Sage is a plus.
• Attention to Detail: You’ll need a keen eye for accuracy and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem Solver: You’ll be expected to research and resolve discrepancies with logical and practical solutions.
• Independent Worker: You should be able to work independently, manage your time effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Team Player: While you’ll handle individual tasks, you’ll also be an integral part of a larger team, so collaboration is key.
• Adaptability: Must thrive in a dynamic, ever-changing environment and handle multiple priorities with ease.

Responsibilities

• Bank & Credit Card Reconciliation: Handle multiple large bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
• Journal Entries: Prepare and enter journal entries with precision and attention to detail.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare daily bank reports for Senior Management, analyze variances, and ensure the financial data aligns with company goals.
• ERP Transactions: Post payments in the ERP system (MAS Sage 100) and review bank postings for AR and AP.
• File Management: Establish and maintain confidential company files and financial records.
• Ad-Hoc Projects: Take on diverse projects that will stretch your accounting skills and broaden your expertise.
