The position pays $70,000 - $75,000 annually, based on experience. This full-time, on-site role is based in Irvine, California . Candidates must reside within commuting distance or be willing to relocate. Overview: The Staff Accountant is responsible for the financial and operational accounting for multiple apartment home communities, including financial statement preparation and account analysis. The Staff Accountant reports directly to the Controller.

Requirements

  • Must hold a completed Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 1-2 years accounting experience
  • Yardi experience preferred
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Proficient user of Excel

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close for a large multi-family portfolio
  • Preparing monthly bank reconciliations and resolving all discrepancies
  • Ensuring all financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
  • Ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met
  • Ensuring accurate and appropriate recording of revenues and expenses
  • Assisting with year-end audits
  • Assisting with additional projects as needed
