About The Position

This (USA) Staff, Data Assurance Engineer plays a critical role in driving automation and AI‑assisted initiatives to improve signal quality, scalability, and operational efficiency, aligning with modern Data Loss Prevention (DLP) practices that emphasize noise reduction and actionable insights over raw alert volume. This position involves automation for solution management, high level reporting, and predictive analytics. The role requires expertise in cybersecurity principles, coding, and stakeholder management to drive continuous improvement in data protection strategies and support organizational objectives effectively. About the team: The DAC team consists of skilled engineers specializing in Data Loss Prevention (DLP), safeguarding PCI, HIPAA, customer, business, and associate data worldwide. This team operates as a critical defense layer, utilizing advanced tools and collaborating closely with Information Security teams. Members focus on incident management, cyber risk assessment, and information assurance to maintain data integrity and security. The team also emphasizes automation and software development to enhance protection measures. Working within a structured environment, the team supports continuous improvement and effective stakeholder engagement to uphold the highest standards of data protection and operational excellence. We are expanding our team and looking for a Staff Data Assurance Engineer to drive automation and AI‑assisted initiatives to improve signal quality, scalability, and operational efficiency, aligning with modern DLP practices that emphasize noise reduction and actionable insights over raw alert volume. You’ll be at the forefront of building automation for solution management, high-level reporting, and predictive analytics. You will act as a technical leader and mentor, guiding engineers, reviewing designs, and raising the overall engineering bar. Collaborating with InfoSec, Security Operations, Data Governance, Privacy, and Infrastructure teams, you’ll ensure our technical controls align with global privacy frameworks.

Requirements

Proven experience leading and delivering enterprise-scale technical initiatives with measurable outcomes
Strong track record of designing automation‑first solutions and improving signal‑to‑noise at scale
Experience defining and operationalizing metrics, dashboards, and executive‑level reporting
AI and ML expertise with a keen knowledge of code development and deployment
Broad understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, and modern data usage patterns, with a strong risk‑based security mindset
Ability to influence technical direction, mentor others, and raise standards across teams
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical topics into clear guidance for both engineers and leadership
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity or related area and 4 years’ experience in data assurance at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.
6 years’ experience in data assurance at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.

Nice To Haves

Experience implementing and supporting enterprise and Cloud DLP technologies would be a plus
Certification in Security+, Network+, GISF, CISSP, or CCSP
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or related area and 2 year’s Exposure of leading/ working on Information Security / Cybersecurity Projects
