Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field (required).
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in geological or environmental consulting, with experience in DOE or DoD projects (required).
  • Licensed Professional Geologist (PG) certification (or eligibility to obtain) (required).
  • Experience in conducting geologic field investigations and environmental assessments (required).
  • Must receive a satisfactory pre-hire drug screen and background check.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with geotechnical and geospatial software, including ArcGIS and AutoCAD (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct geologic field investigations for DOE, DoD, and commercial projects, including soil and groundwater sampling, site assessments, and logging.
  • Collect, analyze, and document geologic data in support of environmental and geotechnical projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports, environmental assessments, and geologic maps for submission to clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Work with engineers, environmental scientists, and project managers to support geotechnical designs, remediation plans, and site characterization.
  • Perform field oversight of drilling, well installation, and geologic sampling to ensure data accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Ensure that all field activities adhere to federal, state, and local environmental regulations and company safety standards.
  • Utilize geotechnical and geospatial software, such as ArcGIS and AutoCAD, to assist in data analysis and the preparation of project deliverables.
  • Participate in project team meetings, presenting findings, progress reports, and recommendations to internal teams and clients.
  • Maintain field equipment and ensure proper calibration and functionality for geologic investigations.
  • Provides support to projects, including field work. Field tasks will include drilling, sampling, and various other field tasks associated with site investigation and remediation.
