About The Position

Our group is seeking a full-time Staff Project Manager to assist the program manager. You will serve as the Staff Project Manager responsible for multiple subprojects and deliverables as part of an integrated project team. You will support efforts to control cost, manage schedule and ensure performance of deliverables. You will serve as the interface between ARA project cost analysts, subject matter experts and the government customer. As a Staff Project Manager, you will support managing cost, schedule, risk, and performance of an integrated product team. You will assist with customer satisfaction, deliverables, and quality. You will be the interface between ARA staff, FFRDC PMs, and government COR. This is a contingent position based on future government funding. This is a hybrid position but must live in National Capital Region due to meeting responsiveness.

Requirements

  • This contract requires applicant to be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must live in the National Capital Region – this is not a remote position.
  • Must currently have at least a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelors of Science or Arts Degree with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Must have 3 years of project manager experience and expertise using MS Project or other PM software within the past two years.
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Travel up to 15% of time could be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors in any STEM-related field (Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Math, etc.) with 5-7 years of relevant project manager experience.
  • Masters of Science or Arts with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Masters in any STEM related field (Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Math, etc.) with 3-5 years of relevant project manager experience.
  • Ability to obtain or current have a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • PMP or equivalent DAWIA certification.
  • Experience working with interagency teams and national laboratories.
  • Experience with projects associated with satellites and space.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, track, and update tasks within an interagency integrated product team.
  • Interface with a government COR and program managers from other federal agencies and FFRDCs.
  • Support deliverable timelines, quality and timeliness standards.
  • Attend meetings (virtual and in-person) to track and manage tasks and deliverables.
  • Support program management using MS Project, MS Office, Teams or other program planning software.
  • Work with program cost analysts to build and track monthly spend plans and manage staff labor hours.
  • Assist writing monthly status reports to management and government COR.
  • Support weekly, monthly, and quarterly briefings on contract cost, schedule, performance and risk to ARA management.
  • Occasionally travel to agencies within CONUS to brief program progress and deliverable status.
