About The Position
Under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator, assist participants (older adults with mild cognitive impairment) enrolled in an NIA-funded clinical trial with technical set up. Essential Functions: Helping participants download software (JackTrip) onto their laptop or desktop Helping participants to connect their computer to the internet via ethernet cable Helping participants to connect the audio interface box to their laptop or desktop Helping participants to log onto the music sharing platform (JackTrip) Showing the participant how to use the features of music sharing software (e.g., where the chat button is, how to toggle between different views; how to adjust volume Assisting participants with accessing the online intervention group and troubleshooting by phone: Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Good computer and communication/customer-service skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Comfort working with older participants, some of whom may have minimal computer skills, on the phone
