About The Position

Purpose and Scope of Position This position coordinates the development and implementation of each person's program you are assigned to, promoting maximum independence through the inter-disciplinary process. Help with appointments and fill in for shifts when needed. Coordinate staff training for Stanley and Tioga. Responsibilities Coordinate all agency staff training in Stanley and Tioga, maintenance of all training records, individual and group instruction, assess agency training needs, development of new training, liaison to state training director and other duties as assigned by supervisor within the scope of the position. Coordinator of all identified required services. Act as a personal advocate. All communication between other interested parties, e.g., guardians, families, case management, etc. Responsible for overall program direction in assigned group home. Take an active role in organizational programmatic direction/strategic planning including CQL/Title XIX accreditation. Other duties as assigned by supervisor, within the scope of the position. THERAP proficiencies, including but not limited to all aspects of S-Comms, T-Logs (new, view, search, edit, monthly reports); ISP Data (new, search, monitor, advanced reporting); Health Tracking (new, search, enter/change medications, review, reports, edit); Attendance (enter, approve, search & edit); GER’s (new, review, approve, return to sender as needed for changes); ISP Program (enter new, edit, discontinue) ; ISP data (enter, search, monitor/check validity, edit, advanced reporting); and administrative duties including resetting passwords and de-activating uses. Assist each person to direct his or her own process of considering and selecting goals. Ensure each person’s desires and goals are the focus of supports and services provided or obtained. Ensure personal choices and characteristics guide how people are assisted to find places to live and work. Support people in the ongoing assessment of their personal situations and in recognizing the need for changes Ensure people decide when and with whom they share personal information. Ensure people understand and fully exercise their rights. Ensure people are free from abuse and neglect. Ensure no individual right is informally restricted.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in related field or BA/BS in non-related field – non-related field must have one year experience working with individuals with an intellectual or developmental disability and Developmental Disabilities ((DD) module certification
  • Above average computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
