About The Position

This position will be responsible for processing patient referrals from Home Health Department under the direction of Staffing Specialist Team Lead who determined by scripted entry and staffing cases with appropriate discipline and agency or care type. This position may work with providers to educate them on general aspects of Utilization Management processing. This position may also support the beneficiary/family regarding their benefits, educating them about their benefits and the programs offered by IHCS. Home Health Staffing Specialist is responsible for providing support and serving as a resource person for the Home Health Department. Responsible for staying current on changes made to programs, policies and procedures for the Integrated Home Care Services Programs.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes network provider compliance and quality Home Health Care.
  • Responsible to staff all pending cases on the Home Health pending staffing log/queue.
  • Maintain current Home health Provider relationships.
  • Assists staff with questions and provides support to the team.
  • Call INN Providers in all Regions (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11) from Florida State as per we have on the log and be assigned to the Staffing Specialist Team member.
  • Send the referrals per each individual member to the provider office can be via Fax or via email.
  • Maintains confidentiality and respect of Patient Information in accordance with HIPPA, URAC and company standards, policy and procedures.
  • Staffing Specialist Team send the referral for review follow up to see if the provider accepting the case or declining the case.
  • After an agency accepts a case, Staffing Specialist Team continue calling to staff other patients for different regions.
  • Maintain communication with Provider Network Department for negotiation and Single Case Agreements when staffing out of Network providers or in special circumstances.
  • If Staffing Specialist Team needs to request extra money or needs to arrange special accommodation
