About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) for an 8-week contract assignment in Simpsonville, SC. The technician will be responsible for the decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment while maintaining strict infection control and safety standards.

Requirements

• HSPA / iAHCSMM Certification
• Minimum 2 years of Sterile Processing Technician experience required
• First-time travelers may be considered based on experience
• Strong understanding of sterile processing procedures and infection prevention standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment with strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, cleaning, disinfection, inspection, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and trays.
• Operate sterilization equipment and follow proper sterilization procedures.
• Assemble both simple and complex instrument trays accurately and efficiently.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure instruments meet sterility and functionality standards.
• Maintain accurate sterilization and processing documentation.
• Respond promptly to urgent instrument needs from surgical and clinical departments.
• Follow all infection control protocols and departmental procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Float to other units if required and within competency.
