Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is seeking a Folder Equipment Operator in our Fridley-MN facility who is responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining folding equipment while ensuring efficiency and adherence to safety standards. You will play a crucial role in daily operations and contributing to production goals. Requirements

  • Machine Operation experience, preferably with folding equipment
  • Ability to comprehend number sequencing and recognize errors
  • Ability to work with numbers
  • Maintains a pattern of regular and predictable attendance
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions
  • Has good mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects
  • Perform a variety of tasks throughout the day in a fast-paced work environment
  • Interact constructively and effectively with all plant employees
  • Ability to work in a team environment toward a common goal
  • Reacts to change productively and handles other tasks assigned

Responsibilities

  • Setup, operate, and monitor complex folding machinery, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to production schedules
  • Conduct thorough inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to identify potential issues before they impact production
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime
  • Train and mentor new and existing employees on machinery operation, safety protocols, best practices, and quality expectations
  • Delegate tasks effectively to enhance team productivity and maintain a smooth workflow
  • Serve as a positive role model, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability
  • Provide regular updates to the Production Supervisor on equipment status, production metrics, and any issues encountered
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records related to equipment performance, production output, and maintenance activities
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT, and environmental regulations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all departmental policies and procedures
  • Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) consistently and correctly
  • Maintain accurate data entry for time keeping, job costing, and MRP job tracking
  • Ability to setup of equipment for new products and complex projects
  • Materials management – request materials required to maintain productivity
