What You’ll Do As a Retail Store Associate, you’ll play a hands-on role in both customer experience and plant care.
Requirements
- Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented
- Strong communication skills and a service mindset
- Interest in gardening or horticulture (experience is helpful but not required — we’ll train you)
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Able to lift 30–50 lbs and stay active throughout your shift
- Available to work weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal hours
Nice To Haves
- Retail or customer service experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional, knowledgeable customer service
- Guide customers in plant selection, gardening solutions, and product recommendations
- Receive, unload, price, and merchandise plant and product shipments
- Water, groom, and maintain plant material to ensure top quality and presentation
- Keep displays, sales areas, and workspaces clean and visually appealing
- Operate the register accurately and efficiently
- Support daily garden center operations as part of a collaborative team
