Based at our San Francisco HQ, we operate fully in-person, move fast and hire people who are ready to win. 🚀 Your Mission We're looking for a Strategy & Operations Principal to lead the team responsible for ensuring our customers extract maximum value from HockeyStack. You'll combine strategic leadership with hands-on execution — owning outcomes across multiple workstreams, managing executive stakeholder relationships, and directly leading the customer-facing team that drives day-to-day customer success. This is a player-coach role: you set the direction, you build the team, and you deliver.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience, with a strong foundation in management consulting, strategic advisory, or a senior operational role at a high-growth company.
  • Proven experience managing teams — you've built, led, and developed people in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience delivering customer-facing projects with measurable business outcomes.
  • Excellent executive stakeholder management — you're comfortable presenting to and influencing senior leaders.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate ambiguous problems into clear plans and outcomes.
  • High-ownership mentality. You operate with autonomy and hold yourself accountable for results.
  • Excited about in-person work, 5 days per week in San Francisco.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the customer-facing team responsible for driving customer value, product adoption, and ongoing engagement.
  • Own outcomes across multiple strategic workstreams — customer projects, internal operations, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Manage executive stakeholder relationships, both internally and with customers, ensuring alignment on priorities and outcomes.
  • Deliver customer projects directly while coaching and developing team members to operate at a high level.
  • Identify systemic opportunities to improve how customers realize value from HockeyStack and drive projects to address them.
  • Partner with leadership to shape team strategy, resource allocation, and operational priorities.
  • Build and optimize scalable processes that support the team's growth and the company's hyper-growth trajectory.
