About The Position

The Theatre Operations Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the University of Wisconsin–Superior Theatre Program. This position provides hands-on experience in front-of-house operations, marketing, and scenic and costume shop support while helping to create a welcoming and professional environment for audiences and artists. The assistant contributes directly to the success of productions and the growth of the program.

Requirements

  • Must be available to work nights and weekends during each theatre production in the 2024–25 season.

Responsibilities

  • Balance cash register and credit card machine after each performance
  • Take phone and walk-up reservations for productions
  • Organize and prepare reservations for theatre productions
  • Complete and distribute FOH performance reports
  • Respond to phone messages in a timely manner
  • Assist with social media and marketing for theatre productions
  • Help prepare and distribute flyers, posters, and programs as needed
  • Distribute promotional materials on campus and in the Superior community
  • Create and update theatre display cases for each production
  • Update mailing lists
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the box office
  • Assist in the scenic shop and costume shop as assigned by supervisors
  • Maintain a clean and organized green room
  • Provide support for rehearsals and theatre operations as scheduled outside of performance dates
  • Perform other duties as assigned
