Student Office Assistant - Civil Engineering Department Position Title: Student Office Assistant - Civil Engineering Department Position Type: Student (Fixed Term) Hiring Range: $18.20/hour Pay Frequency: Hourly Specific Duties: a. Provide support to the Department Manager and faculty. b. Perform basic word processing and data entry tasks. c. Make copies, prepare copy service requests, and run campus errands. d. Handle in-person inquiries from students and visitors, directing complex questions to the appropriate individuals. e. Assist with reimbursements, invoices, and expenditure tracking. f. Help prepare materials and handle set-up/clean-up for department meetings and events. g. Assist with room reservation requests. h. Maintain and update content for the Civil Engineering Department website. i. Manage office inventory and departmental supply orders. j. Handle mailroom packages. Qualifications: - Proficiency in basic office and computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel. - Strong attention to detail with both information and tasks. - Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of students, staff, and faculty. - Capacity to thrive in a stimulating, flexible, and fast-paced work environment. - Consistent and punctual attendance. - Ability to maintain confidentiality.
