About The Position

Responsible for timely recruitment, screening, and enrollment of qualified study participants for ongoing research studies and for supporting recruitment-related administrative and outreach efforts. Performs duties in accordance with company’s values, policies, and procedures. This role requires fluency in both spoken and written English and Spanish. This is a full-time, temporary position with an expected duration of three months.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three months health industry or customer service-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to potential study participants, managers, and other employees of the organization.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English is required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Knowledge of the current MS Office Suite and knowledge of media and graphics programs.

Responsibilities

  • Speaks professionally to potential study participants to obtain and input accurate and complete demographic and medical information into the Volunteer Database (VDB).
  • Communicates study details and procedures, addresses questions and concerns, and determines study eligibility based on inclusion and exclusion criteria.
  • Schedules screening appointments for pre-qualified study participants and follows complete screening appointment wrap-up procedures.
  • Updates information from study participant global files into the VDB.
  • Participates in community outreach programs (health fairs, interactions with local professionals, and community advocacy and service groups).
  • Contributes to the completion of recruitment plan milestones.
