The Subsidy Provider Compliance Consultant completes desk reviews and/or site visits with licensed child care providers that are enrolled in the Subsidized Child Care Assistance (SCCA) program. The Consultant obtains and analyzes providers' records during desk reviews and site visits to determine compliance with the provisions of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Subsidized Child Care Assistance Program Provider Agreement (Provider Agreement). The Consultant utilizes findings from the monitoring process to determine training needs of the child care providers and delivers technical assistance to address identified needs. In addition, the Consultant prepares a Notice of Subsidy Action to address noncompliance, when appropriate, and ensures completion of Corrective Action Plans. Referrals require the Consultant to investigate allegations of noncompliance with the Provider Agreement. The Consultant is required to travel throughout North Carolina to complete assigned work and attend meetings/trainings, which will require some overnight travel at times. A Consultant works both independently and collaboratively, especially during occasional project work as assigned. This is a regional position based in northwestern North Carolina. Some statewide travel will be necessary. The successful candidate for this position must reside in or live in a county that is contiguous to the following counties: Alleghany, Ashe, Stokes, Surry, Wilkes, Yadkin.
