What You Will Be Doing: The Advanced Mechanical Engineering Intern will support Acushnet Company’s efforts to expand production capacity for its premium performance product lines, including Titleist® PRO V1® and PRO V1x®. As part of the Advanced Engineering group, the intern will gain hands-on exposure to the development of next-generation manufacturing equipment, working alongside a collaborative team focused on mechanical design, automation, and process innovation. This role will involve contributing to mechanical design and fabrication efforts, supporting prototype builds and scaled experimentation, and assisting with documentation and testing activities, while collaborating with engineering, production, and maintenance partners to support tooling, equipment development, and manufacturing process improvements.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a degree-granting program, with preference for Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering students
  • Interest in hands-on mechanical engineering, manufacturing equipment, and automation
  • Ability to use basic assembly tools and work in a hands-on manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant coursework in areas such as Mechanics of Materials, Statics, Dynamics, Power and Control Systems, IoT, or related subjects preferred
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks® preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite strongly preferred
